Our Matcha Mud mask is formulated to support every skin-age and unique complexion. Got Matcha’s blend of Ceremonial Black Label Matcha, Dead Sea Mud, Chaga mushroom, Sea Buckthorn Oil and Coconut oil is unlike any other face product on the market. Our unique blend and story behind this product is truly the Champion of skin care! These dynamic 5 ingredients each have a powerful story earning them the right to be in Got Matcha’s Champion Face Mask.
How to use:
Use the mask 2-3 x/week
Wash skin and pat dry leaving a light amount of water on the face. With a little water on your hands, scoop out a generous amount (about the size of a quarter), divide between your hands and spread firmly over the face and neck. If it is difficult to spread add a little more water to your hands. Should be a thick dark green layer. Leave on for 10-15 minutes then rinse with warm water. It is important not to let the mask completely dry because it could remove too much moisture from the skin. 10-15 minutes is ideal for dry skin and 20 minutes for oily skin.
Our 5 superstar ingredients are individually equipped to heal and protect your skin from the environmental toxins and daily stressed that quickens the aging process. However, when you combine these ingredients together, the synergy is a gamechanger – your face will never be the same! As important as it is to give your body internally the daily tools to heal and protect itself, your face needs the same love and attention. Your face is exposed all day to pollutants, UV rays, stress and oxidation which creates premature aging and skin trauma. Therefore you need the right tools, or shield, for your skin. Our mask blend, used 2-3x/week provides the needed and essential protection, healing, correcting, support and healthy glow that the face and neck needs. Let your face reflect the vibrancy and youthfulness that you feel inside!
The key to this mask is not only the selection of the top ingredients for skin health but also the story behind 5 ingredients; where are they grown, how are they harvested and processed and the nutritional testing behind each ingredient. Yes, at Got Matcha, every ingredient that we bring into our organic facility has been tested for not only the nutritional content but also tested for every possible contaminant and pesticide possible. Not one ingredient enters our facility that doesn’t pass with flying colors. Your skin is your largest organ which is why you must know what is behind every product that you put on your face and neck!! You absorb into your body the good and the bad that touches and seeps into your skin.
Start reading ingredients in your skin care products! It is difficult to find any lotion, soap or face mask that is not made with preservatives and emulsifiers. If you wouldn’t feel safe taking a bite of the skin care product, then don’t you dare put it on your skin! We only use 5 whole food ingredients in Got Matcha’s mask – NO PRESERVATIVES! Most masks have minimal beneficial ingredients and are over 50% chemicals/additives/preservatives. Watch out for ingredients such as: Parabens, DEA, MEA TEA, Mineral Oils, PEG, Phthalates, Propylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Potassium Sorbat, Siloxanes, Sulfates, Synthetic/Artificial fragrances, Steroids and Alcohol. Start reading labels you will be surprised at how much junk and filler is being added to products! Companies might add only a pinch of Matcha or a touted skin nutrient just so they can make the skin-healing claims, but the truth is products laden with chemicals and undesirables do more harm than good.
Let’s discus the individual ingredients a bit more …
1. Ceremonial Black Label Matcha
One of the key reasons Matcha is such a powerful tool for skin health, is its rich antioxidant content. Ceremonial Matcha is one of the most antioxidant-rich foods on the planet. As mentioned previously, we need a shield to protect and regenerate our the skin on our face and topical Antioxidants are the key to optimal skin health. Antioxidants neutralize the free radicals, or bad guys, which are constantly trying to damage your skin cells and create inflammation, aging, cell damage, wrinkles, and even pre-cancerous cells.
Be aware that not just any form of antioxidant will do! Antioxidants can be synthesized and developed in a lab but that will never match the absorption or capabilities of what a whole food pure antioxidant can achieve. The catechins, also known as EGCG, in Matcha are some of the most powerful antioxidants ever seen. These EGCG antioxidants are anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, repairs DNA after UV exposure, blocks tumor-promoters, stimulates cell repair and even helps with acne and redness. A simple way to think of antioxidants is that they are substances which help protect our cells, the soldiers that fight to keep our body and skin healthy and strong.
Got Matcha’s face mask is made with our Black Label Ceremonial quality Matcha. Premium quality Ceremonial Matcha is one of the highest foods in the world in antioxidants! Our black label Matcha contains the highest EGCG antioxidant levels of anything we have seen tested on the market. Two grams or 1 teaspoon of our Ceremonial Black Label Matcha contains roughly 180mg of EGCG. Just for reference, the average EGCG levels in the market with Matcha range from 17mg-50mg. Most if not all of the Matcha face masks in the market are made with either culinary or Latte grade Matcha or green tea extract. One of the top differences between the highest quality ceremonial Matcha and lower grades like culinary or green tea extract is the antioxidant/EGCG content. Just because green tea or Matcha has been added to a mask doesn’t mean the antioxidant and nutrient content is at the top!
The main reason Ceremonial Matcha green tea is so much more effective than regular green tea is that it is a whole food and not an extract. Regular Green tea leaves are steeped in water or extracted in alcohol, and only some of the nutrients and antioxidants are removed. Matcha is grown for 3-5 years longer and the entire leaf is dried and ground into a powder. Matcha is extremely concentrated in every nutrient associated with the health benefits of green tea. When you consume food in its natural state with all its nutrients intact, the experience and absorption is heightened and superior to any extract.
Ceremonial Matcha has been tested and found to do the following when used topically for the skin…
- Protect against skin cancer
- Fight aging
- Fights acne
- Repairs damaged skin cells
- Anti-bacterial
- Anti-microbial

MEDICAL STUDIES WITH MATCHA AND SKIN…Numerous studies have been done in regards to the antioxidants in green tea and Matcha and skin health…A study published in The Journal of Nutrition found a connection between consuming the catechins (antioxidants) in green tea/matcha and skin health. What the scientists found in this study was that the skin was better protected from the harmful radiation of UV rays, the structure improved, blood flow and oxygen increased to the skin and the overall quality of the skin improved. Their report: "Skin structural characteristics that were positively affected included elasticity, roughness, scaling, density, and water homeostasis. Intake of the green tea polyphenols for 12 weeks increased blood flow and oxygen delivery to the skin. Regular use of tea flavanols contributed photo-protection against harmful UV radiation and helped maintain skin structure and function."
